 | The construction of passenger under pass (PUP) or a vehicle under pass, below live traffic/busy roads is a challenging task. The method used for this construction is called 'Box Pushing' or 'Push Launching'. A RCC box culvert is sequentially pushed from one side of embankment towards the other side, slowly, in step-by-step process. The girder, which passes below the existing road is cast in the form of small segments at the site itself. The alignment of the PUP is kept perpendicular to the traffic above. The entire operation involves a lot of risk which requires skills of Planning Engineers, Structural Designers and the Site Engineers. Our skilled and experienced engineers, designers and contractors are qualified to carry out such tedious tasks by making use of all the latest machines and equipment that we own. Various technologies and methods that we incorporate for box pushing services are thrust bed, pre-cast RCC box, front cutting shield and rear jacking shield, intermediate jacking station and several other technologies and methods matching the latest trends. |
